*** An Incredible Team ***

Muriel

ONE TEAM …

The team is incredible. They are all passionate. For example, Muriel handles very seriously our donor relationships. She prays with them and for them. We thank Muriel for her devoted service and her empathy for each person she contacts. Muriel now has a new assistant, Iris, who came to replace Sylvie whose contract ended. Sylvie did a great job and our prayers and best wishes are with her.

Stef and Christine, two pillars of the Top Chrétien team. are a blessing for many.

PLEASE PRAY FOR  …

1. Transformed Lives
Our websites for India and China were relaunched thanks to a donation. This allowed us to buy advertizing in Google and to increase the visitor rate. A large number of people accept Jesus every day ever since the relaunch. Pray for them!

2. The Team
We still need team members called by God to serve with their talents as missionaries at the Top.

3. Eric & Muriel
Some traveling is foreseen. May the Holy Spirit direct us in managing our schedule.

4. Creativity
May the Lord help the team to discern between good ideas and those that come from our Creator.

5. The Finances
May divine provision be accorded to us in abundance so that more souls are put in contact with the Gospel. May we be able to finance the “couples” and the “singles” courses, expected to be filmed soon.

Your prayers are essential!

Thank you,

Eric Célérier

*** And if we had Thanksgiving in France? ***

We have an American on our Top team. Her name is Suzanne and we like her a lot. She prepared a turkey for us on Thanksgiving day, the famous Thanksgiving in which everything stops across the Atlantic.

We, French, wrongly tried to import Halloween to France, and I am glad that organizations like the Protestant Evangelical Committee for Human Dignity mobilized against it successfully. Congratulations to you, CPDH -  Protestant Committee for Human Dignity! You do a great job. You are so brave and efficient. Please do keep it up! The road is long and difficult, but your fight is just!

Now it seems that we, Christians, can mobilize ourselves FOR something. Being the light of the world and the salt of the earth means to have a positive influence on society. It’s not lighting a lamp in the manner of old police films and “shining” it in the eyes of the accused and saying, “Go! Confess your sins now!” Fortunately, the love of God that leads us to repentance is gentler than that :-)

I propose that we influence our society through a new holiday in France and in French-speaking countries, “One Day to Say ‘Thank You’.”

Say “thank you” to God, of course, but also say “thank you” to those we do not appreciate enough: our wives or husbands, parents, the teacher, the mayor, the deputy, the sports club volunteer, the garbage collector that picks up trash every day, the mailman, etc..

When I looked at the origins of the North American festival of Thanksgiving, I found some very encouraging elements: the French, oh yes! Cocorico! God at the center! An important and symbolic date 1777 … And values: family, prayer, etc.. Not to mention an origin in the festival of Sukkot, the harvest festival; therefore, in the Bible and Israel. You can find all these items in the following article in Wikipedia: Thanksgiving.

Would you support me in this proposal to create for the French-speaking world: “One Day to Say ‘Thank You’”?

And if we Christians showed an example for once? If we tried to be ahead instead of being late? If we forgot for one moment our church differences to join hands and say thank you together? We can, of course, replace the turkey with a boiled chicken in Henri IV sauce or with a good French chicken, but the key is not there!

Let’s learn to say THANK YOU. Let’s express our French creativity. Do you have any ideas for this? I tried to inspire you with an idea that is on my heart. For many years, I have prayed and believed that among our Internet users, someone will start – “One Day to Say ‘Thank You’” … And in advance, I say, “THANKS!”

Together to say “Thank You”

Eric

*** We are all Ivorians! ***

You may remember the words of John F. Kennedy “I am a Berliner”. He pronounced them in June 1963, during an official visit to West Berlin.

He wanted to demonstrate both his support for a population divided by a horrible wall and his disapproval of this shameful situation.

I want to say to Ivorians, and particularly to my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, that I love them, I pray for them and today I feel Ivorian. We are all Ivorians!

Today I want to express my support to the Abidjan residents, my love to the Ivorian people, and also share this sense of shame I feel about certain French military interventions. Let’s not forget that France is the former colonial power and, therefore, probably in the worst position to interfere in the internal affairs of the Ivory Coast.

Faced with such desolation and this tearing apart of the country into two camps, I can only imagine the feeling that reigns in the hearts of the Ivorians … Incomprehension, anger, hatred, rejection, fear of all kinds, etc..

I have no other response to this crisis than to say that I sympathize with all my heart and I pray for the Ivorians. I support my friends in the Ivory Coast and I salute their courage in these difficult times! Stand firm! “I lift my eyes to the mountains … from where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalms 121.1.

Dear Ivorian brothers and sisters, I love you and the Top does, too!

*** Together for Changed Lives! ***

Just ten days ago, I asked you to pray for the Jesus.net Conference!

Your prayers were answered because God blessed us so much. He really did way beyond all that we could have imagined.

This conference brought together 75 people (coordinators of evangelism websites) from 21 countries. For four days we shared the progress we have been able to make in the different countries and we glorified God together!

We also took advantage of this special time together to invite Marie-France. Perhaps you remember her? Marie-France gave her heart to Jesus by connecting to the website ConnaitreDieu.com and we filmed her testimony during the fund-raising campaign for the purchase of the Top Chrétien offices.

Since her conversion, God has used her so that five new people experience faith in Jesus!  She is actually in her second year at the Cijem Force school. Isn’t that wonderful?

When Marie-France came to the conference, she spoke simply about what God had done in her life and we were very moved … Many of us cried as she finished sharing with the words: “I am a miracle!” What a blessing it was to hear live and in person the testimony of one of the people who has accepted Jesus as Savior on the Internet. We are so very thankful to God!

There are millions of “Marie-France” whom we would like to see come to Jesus in the coming years. Imagine God’s joy and the angels’ rejoicing in heaven!

I am sure that they are smiling as they watch this video that I counted on sharing with you!

Together for changed lives,

Eric

*** Do You Use Facebook? ***

Here is Wikipedia’s definition of Facebook: “Facebook, created by Mark Zuckerberg, is a social network website to gather together close friends or new friends. It has more than 350 million members worldwide. According to Alexa Internet, it is the second most visited website in the world. (google.com)

Most youth use Facebook today. If Facebook were a country, it would be the 4th largest country in the world! Using Facebook to share the Gospel seems indispensable to me. That’s why since November 2009, we began our “Jesus.net” fan page on Facebook. This page already has more than 10,000 fans. I would like us together to try to reach 100,000 fans! Do you agree to accept this challenge? Together, I believe that we can do it!

What is Jesus.net? It is the network name which includes the following websites: TopChretien.com, ConnaitreDieu.com, MonEglise.net, GodRev.com, … It is especially the name of Jesus that we want to make known together!

Statistics of Jesus.net Fan page on Facebook

The goal of our fan page is to make Jesus known on Facebook.  You can help us do it! How can you help?

  1. Go to the fan page at http://www.facebook.com/jesus.net and make sure that you are already a fan. If you are not one yet, become a fan right away!
  2. To the left of the page, you have the little phrase “Suggest to friends”. Click on it and invite all your friends to become fans of Jesus.net, too.
  3. Make a comment on the page. Every time that you write something, your friends will know it! So, for example, tell us why you love Jesus… Try to write something every week.

In one of my next blogs, I will tell you how we were able to get the domain name Jesus.net. Again, it’s one of those miracles for which God has the secret!

Until then, I would like to know what you think about this: do you think that it is necessary to use Facebook to announce the Gospel? Do you have any ideas on this subject? Do you have special skills relating to Facebook?

I would like to develop a Facebook application to easily share the Gospel with friends: the Father’s love letter in an individualized style. Unfortunately, no one on our team has this skill. Please pray that we find this rare pearl and if you are this rare pearl, contact me.

Together let’s move into action!
