*** Imagine! ***

Oh no, that’s not a photo of my boat. But, when I saw the name -IMAGINE- on this nice speedboat during a stay in Corsica, I couldn’t keep myself from taking a picture for you. :-)

IMAGINE is also the beginning of the statement which sums up the dream of Jesus.net (a network of international partners whose goal is evangelism through the Internet). Here it is: “Imagine a world with every single person having free access to the Gospel, knowing God, growing in Jesus, and sharing faith easily…” This is what we want to do through this tremendous network, Jesus.net. Share the Gospel with everyone and everywhere.

IMAGINE is also a vision for the future. I want to imagine, by faith, everything that God is going to do. I already imagine Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, reached by the Gospel. Did you know that in Jakarta alone (capital of Indonesia) there are 17 million Facebook users? Would you join me in prayer for this country?

IMAGINE is just a simple word allowing us to dream and to see what God can do through ordinary people like you and me. When I started Top Chrétien in 1999, I think I was far from imagining all that it has become today. Would I have imagined such developments? Such encouragement? Such an impact in the lives of Internet users of whom you are perhaps a part? Here are some testimonies to illustrate my point.

“My brother decided to return to church after many messages received via PassLeMot. Thank you Lord.”

“A cousin who isn’t a Christian thanks me because PassLeMot does him a lot of good and reminds him not to forget God.”

“I was an atheist and my life changed on this website. It’s too immense, and there is no word on earth to describe it.”

“Thanks to the Top I have the feeling of really being part of a big family.”

“I knew a young Christian through your website, oh so helpful. He gave me a Bible in Arabic and he put me on the way of the Lord Jesus. Since then, I never cease to grow in faith and obedience (despite difficult conditions) because I was born and live in Algeria.”

“Thanks to your messages, my life changes from day to day.”

“Top Chrétien is a revolutionary tool that allows us to receive and share.”

So keep moving forward and IMAGINE what God will do. ”The sky’s the limit” as the saying goes. And I think that’s what God wants for the Top and for each one of us …

Thank you for being a part of this dream of God. I imagine you like Aaron and Hur holding up Moses’ arms on the mountain while Joshua and the people of God were fighting in the valley. Thank you for holding up our two arms, our vision and our passion, while our team is in the battle.

Together, IMAGINE what God will do with us in 2012! And let him use us as he sees fit. What do you think? Do you have stories to share?

Together for changed lives,

Eric

*** Make a Buzz with ConnaîtreDieu.com! ***

The Top Chrétien Team is doing everything they can to get ConnaîtreDieu.com moving!

Many Internet users are on a spiritual quest and our deepest desire is to help them discover the God of love as a response to their questions. To this end, we launched a ConnaîtreDieu.com poster contest on Facebook open to all!

The principle was simple: to provide Internet users with the  ConnaîtreDieu.com logo and invite them to participate by creating their own posters for the site. The participants then saw their posters directly online on the ConnaitreDieu.com Facebook page, and had to encourage their friends to vote for their posters (number of  “like” clicks on Facebook acting as votes).

The great thing about this contest is that people who did not yet know the ConnaîtreDieu.com website voted for the posters. A “word of mouth” effect was created for the website and new people could hear about God in this way. We pray that they were touched by what they read.

The contest also helped develop ideas for highly innovative posters that the Top team can use to promote the ConnaitreDieu website and thus, ConnaitreDieu.com can touch even more lives! Finally, different Internet users could get involved with us by sharing their posters. A truly united team effort brought forth its fruit!

Gifts (DVDs, CD cards, books, caps, etc..) worth more than  500 € were offered to the five winners whose creativity we applaud. The first three posters were chosen with votes on Facebook. Then, the ConnaîtreDieu.com jury appointed its own two winners to avoid penalizing the last participants who sent in their posters shortly before the close of voting on Facebook.

A total of 156 posters were sent in, each one making its impact. You can find them by clicking here!

A big thank you to all the brave participants who invested themselves in us! In this blog, discover the achievements of the five winners of this contest, which was a first. To do again? What do you think?

We would be interested in reading your comments, ideas, suggestions. It’s always a pleasure to read them and have your feedback so we can improve and allow a greater number of people to hear about Jesus Christ!

Together for changed lives,

Eric Célérier and the Top Chrétien Team

*** What if We Saw a Movie? ***

Have you ever been tired and done things more by duty than pleasure?

I have! And that’s just what I did a few weeks ago.

I was invited to speak on the theme of communication to the coordinators of the Alpha course (a magnificent project of evangelization around a meal). They had come from all over France. It was snowing hard in the Paris region, and I could have made a good excuse to stay warm and rest. But “I felt” I had to make an effort to go, and I really do not regret the trip!

The person speaking before me began to share his testimony of conversion. He told us very simply how God had directed his path to reveal himself to him. His name is Thierry Bizot. His business, a TV producer in France. The company he founded with Emmanuel Chain (former host of Capital) produces several programs, to mention a few, “Seven to Eight” (TF1) and “Direct Drive” (France 2)!

It was so gratifying to see this man share his spiritual journey with conviction. He recounted his encounter with Jesus like falling in love with someone. He is now passionate about Jesus! He also explained how, in his surroundings, sharing his faith is so new to the people around him. Many of his colleagues began to question him about Jesus, faith, searching for meaning in their lives. Learn more about Thierry Bizot.

So, Thierry and his wife Anne Giafferi thought about making a film of his story and, thus was born the vision for the film “Who wants to be loved?” (see this TopInfo article )

The film opened on Wednesday in a hundred movie theaters in France. I had the opportunity to see it and I really loved it! I enjoyed the story, images, treatment of parent/child relationships, brother/sister, husband/wife and,  of course, with God through the spiritual journey of the protagonist.

It is a human interest film about a man who becomes vulnerable, acknowledging his need for God and his need of others. I like this side of vulnerability that we miss very often, me included. It spoke to me and touched me. And I think it will also affect those who are seeking spiritually or who have questions about faith.

So why not see a movie this weekend? The larger the number of ticket sales this week, the longer the movie will be advertized and the greater the number of people will hear about faith at the movies! (find a theater that is broadcasting the film) If you’re in France do not miss this opportunity! Do as I did, make an effort to go out and see the movie. You will not regret it ;-)

Take this opportunity to invite your friends and family, and share with them about what God is doing in your lives!

Together for changed lives,

Éric Célérier

*** Let’s Share God’s Love! ***

MonEglise.net has just blown out its first candle: one year old already!

It’s time to take stock.

MonEglise.net in figures:

- 400,000 visits from 198 countries. France, Canada, Belgium, Ivory Coast, Switzerland, and Morocco, visited MonEglise.net the most.

- 50,000 people came directly  to MonEglise.net from the website ConnaitreDieu.com. (In English KnowingGod.net) That’s more than 100 people on a spiritual quest every day!

As a reminder, this is the first reason why MonEglise.net was developed – to bring the church to Internet users so that they say:  “If that’s the church, I want my church!”

But beyond numbers, which are always encouraging, what is important is that lives are changed. For example, this Internet user wrote to us recently: Thanks to “your website” I am born again. My joy is great, God bless you. God is great. He cured me of my depression. It has been one month that I no longer take antidepressants even though I took them for more than 10 years. God works miracles!

Wonderful, isn’t it? I invite you to watch this video clip for ConnaitreDieu.com! All excerpts are from recordings made for MonEglise.net.

This video was embedded using the YouTuber plugin by Roy Tanck. Adobe Flash Player is required to view the video.

Why not share this video with you friends?

So Happy Birthday to MonEglise.net and may God bless all those involved in this great project: the pastors, artists, technicians, partners, donors and the Top Chrétien team.

Let’s continue to share God’s love through MonEglise.net.  It’s worth it!

What do you think? I would welcome your feedback and comments on the subject.

Eric

*** For one more soul… ***

The Top Chrétien Team is experiencing rather special times that I would absolutely love to share with you. Today I received this wonderful testimony by Rose Bishop: “Thank you for sending my message to the Top Chrétien members. Tell my pastor, Eric Célérier, that I have become God’s daughter. Top Chrétien has been a blessing to me. The Lord led me to your website and, as a result, I gave my life to Jesus and I found a church. This Sunday, I was baptized in Washington in the USA, where I live. Now I am officially part of God’s family! My life has been totally changed. I have no regrets for my decision. I am truly at peace and I know that heaven is my home.”

On this same day, July 19, 2010, we reached the significant statistic of two million people who had prayed to accept Jesus as Savior on the website KnowingGod.net, which exists in 16 languages! I would like for all two million of them to be just like Rose.

I believe that people like Rose are the reason why Top Chrétien and its services like MonEglise.net and KnowingGod.net exist! They are the reason why we have persevered day after day for 11 years to make Top Chétien advance. They are the reason why we want to buy our offices to make our “tent” larger and add members to our team. They are the reason why we continue to develop more and more innovative and effective tools.

Let’s go for the next “Rose” and the next million souls! To God be the Praise (in French, ADSL, à Dieu soit la louange)

Together for changed lives,

Your friend, Eric

*** Are you a blessing? ***

I received this testimony from a young Swiss woman via Facebook. It really encouraged me, especially the post script, and I wanted to share it with you because it illustrates what the Holy Spirit does behind the computer screens.

I am a 17 year-old Swiss student. I have known Top Chretien for quite some time, and I regularly read the Thoughts for the Day and the messages for leaders. I have also been watching the MonEglise.net programs for several months. I truly wanted to thank you. I have always loved worship and that’s what drew me to MonEglise.net. I have tremendous experiences, and every week I can hardly wait until the next broadcast.

I don’t always listen to the preaching, but when I do, I find the teachings to be of good quality and well-adapted. I truly believe that God can do great things through your work and the work of your team, regardless what certain people may say. The Internet is an excellent means of evangelism, but also simply a means of getting together, and I find that you make magnificent use of it! We also clearly see your passion for God, and that, that’s fantastic. :-D

I would sincerely like to encourage you to continue all the work that you do, in spite of the difficulties, and, especially, in keeping simplicity. That’s all, I don’t know if one day you will read this message, but I really wanted to encourage you and to thank you! Finally, and briefly, my goal was to particularly encourage you for MonEglise.net, even if the other things are also great!

PS I know that God loves watching you :-) and seeing the impact that this has on us, it’s fantastic. :-D

I didn’t know this young student, but when I shared this testimony with my Swiss friends, they told me that they knew her very well and that she had a very difficult health issue. I would also like us to pray for her and tell her how much we appreciate her whole heart for the Lord and her spirit of encouragement. Go ahead, young woman, God is going to move in your life, he is already doing it, because you are a blessing!

Why not imitate this young woman, and develop a spirit of encouragement by telling those who bless us how much we appreciate what they do for us? It’s good to be blessed, but it’s even better to be a blessing! There is more joy in giving than in receiving…
